The Situation
Brooks Life Sciences had to design a brand new website. The goal was to develop a web presence, which didn’t exist before the project, for the life science division. Another goal of the website was to generate new business for Brooks Life Sciences products and consulting services. The website also is designed to show Brooks as a thought leader in the industry. Lastly, the website needed to be a resource for existing customers and the Brooks sales team.
The Challenge
Being a brand new website, Brooks Life Sciences had to create a logo, color pallet, fonts, visual style guide. In addition to that, all of the website content had to be created from scratch including videos, infographics, photography, and text content
The Solution
In partnership with Boston Interactive, Brooks Life Science created an immersive experience using video and interactive elements that gives the visitor a sense of the full breadth of Brooks Life Sciences' products and solutions. The website has different pathways based on your industry, application, or your location in the world, which gives the potential customer a personalized experience. Boston Interactive also created a dynamic product catalogue that can be searched and filtered a variety of ways.
Acquia’s initial consulting helped Brooks Life Sciences quickly set up the three-tiered environment needed for the website. Dev Desktop enabled the team to quickly begin development. Throughout development and since launch the Acquia Cloud has helped Brooks Life Sciences and Boston Interactive quickly and efficiently deploy enhancements to the site.
The Results
Traffic since launch has been steadily increasing, bounce rate has been low, session duration has been above average for the industry, traffic from organic search has been gradually climbing, and client reports that leads from the site have been steadily growing.
