The Client
Finastra is the largest Fintech company in Europe, and the third largest in the world. The organizations provides services to banks and other large financial organizations. In 2018, Finastra was ready to launch FusionFabric.cloud. Rather than a product or service, FusionFabric.cloud is an entire open-API ecosystem to bring innovation and collaboration to the FinTech space.
The Situation
A critical component of FusionFabric.cloud are the developers who contribute applications to the marketplace. These developers come from a diverse range of institutions including universities, banks, consultancies and other FinTech startups. The goal of launching FusionFabric.cloud was to nurture engagement among this community of developers. FusionFabric.cloud would be the hub for participants to share their work, consume resources and tutorials, and even collaborate on projects.
The Challenge
The FusionFabric.cloud Drupal 8 site needed to act as the marketing and informational hub for everything FusionFabric.cloud, providing a centralized location to access all parts of the ecosystem, including a marketplace, community platform, the application suite itself, as well as support and documentation tools. If that wasn’t challenging enough, the project was also on a tight timeline, which included organizing numerous stakeholders.
The Solution
To break new ground in the FinTech space, Finastra worked with Elevated Third to design, build and deploy a solution within a few short months in time to coincide with FusionFabric.cloud’s official release. Via a single registration form, developers can gain access to FusionFabric.cloud to start developing on the platform and build apps to be sold on the marketplace.
The Acquia platform delivered the stability, performance and security required for an enterprise Drupal 8 build. On top of that, Acquia’s set of development workflow tools saved both teams time, money and headaches throughout the lifecycle of the project.
The Results
- The resulting Drupal 8 site meets compliance requirements without sacrificing speed or management capabilities.
- Since launching in June, the site has maintained an overall site conversion rate of 2 percent, with nearly 30+ developers signing up per week.
