For more than 90 years Nestle Purina has been in the business of nourishing pets, advancing pet nutrition and conducting industry-leading research on the wellbeing of pets. Familiar Purina brands include Beggin’, Fancy Feast, Friskies, and Purina Dog Chow among many others.
Purina sought to revolutionize how it managed digital across its line of pet nutrition brands. Its digital properties had been built on a variety of technology platform over a number of years, and a move to Acquia Cloud Site Factory would help a months-long content updating process through a personalized content experience that could be tailored for each visitor.
Purina was managing more than 70 websites across its petcare brands. Its legacy systems and processes often required weeks of advance notice to update content; code updates could take longer. And without a common code base, Purina could not make uniform changes across its digital properties.
In partnership with The Nerdery, Purina sought to establish a centralized view of its digital brand assets and websites with Acquia Cloud Site Factory. The new solution provided a fast start for new websites and confidence that branding and messaging would stay consistent across multiple websites, helping the marketing team hundreds of hours in the future.
The biggest initial achievement was allowing the marketing team to make real-time updates to their websites and immediately create new websites when appropriate. Going forward, the Purina marketing team can be innovative and agile as they move to launch new sites or update existing assets and promotions.
