The Client
Founded in 1998, Stage Entertainment is one of the world’s largest theatre producers and owners, with a reputation as a first-class theatrical production company focusing on Europe. Producing some of the best-known titles in musical theatre, the company stage both licensed and original productions. The company employs more than 3,000 people worldwide, with more than 7 million visitors attending a Stage Entertainment production every year.
The Situation
To distinguish itself from a mass market wholesaler, Stage Entertainment realized it needed to go above and beyond to create a true digital experience for customers, setting the tone for what customers may expect to experience at a performance. But the company’s previous site wasn’t delivering the amazing performance that the shows themselves provided. And because each European region had its own site, disparate vendors and platforms created a disjointed customer experience.
The Challenge
Stage Entertainment wanted to build and implement a site builder for regional offices that provided centralized core functionality that allowed the larger brand to stay intact. However, the functionality also needed to allow for enough design flexibility so that offices could create meaningful localized experiences with impact.
The Solution
Stage Entertainment tapped Inviqa to help determine next steps. They inventoried the company’s current digital assets and analyzed what was ideally needed, then developed requirements for the new site that included centralizing on a single platform to ensure a consistent, seamless user experience and ease content creation and delivery. The teams chose Acquia Cloud as their platform, taking advantage of Acquia Lift to offer users a personalized experience.
The Results
Inviqa helped roll out the show “Anastasia” on a six-week timeline and the metrics for that site are impressive. Conversions increased by an average of 200 percent and time on site increased by 27 percent. Additionally, the site achieved a 638 percent rise in orders compared with the average, a 101 percent rise in time on site, and a 57 percent rise in visits. The bounce rate is down by nearly half, and the site load time is also down by nearly half.
