Vaisala conducted an audit of its own online presence to identify potential areas of improvement, which included the potential of the existing platform becoming obsolete, performance issues and usability concerns.
Vaisala brought in Mirum to help overcome its digital challenges, and the companies worked together to create a new site on Drupal 8 and Drupal Commerce 2. The new visual storytelling is crafted to be approachable, seamless, focused, guiding and to reflect high quality. Mirum developed the digital customer experience simultaneous to developing the MVP of the corporate website. From there, they implemented products and services pages and began integrating the online store functionality for energy data sales and delivery products
Vaisala.com, the online store and service portal is a multi-language website that presents Vaisala's extensive product and service range to their customers, providing a best-in-class digital experience in their industry. And the metrics since the site transformation are impressive: The number of leads from the website has increased by 17 percent. Server response time has improved by 60 percent. Content on the site loads much more quickly, even though there is much more content on the site. And the average session duration has increased by 7 percent.
